Set in England, modern day. Hope you like it. :)

Summer stared up at the stars as she lay in the grass, thinking about the disaster. She would probably be expelled from another school. She was only nine but had already been through six different schools. It wasn't that she was a bad student, it was just that she had the tendency to cause bad things around her and it could always be very clearly traced back to her. It was exhausting. Another problem was that she didn't have any friends because she moved so often and, being an only child, this made her feel cut off from people, which didn't improve the accidents. No matter what her councillors, teachers, parents and nurses had said, she just knew it was magic. She didn't have a medical condition and never took the medications prescribed. She knew they wouldn't help, they couldn't stop magic. It was this knowledge that scared her the most, the fact that she wasn't in control and couldn't stop the catastrophes from coming. So, at eight years old, after three incidents, she had decided that that was enough, she would not put up with it any longer. It was going to stop. But it didn't. She kept doing magic. But now, lying on the grass, trying to snuff out the terrible magic, she felt it. It went. She felt free. This made her so happy that she didn't notice the other feeling, the feeling of something else coming. Something much, much worse.
