Theme: Warm Strangers
Series: Spirited Away
She was walking aimlessly around the corridors of the inn. Her mother had been sure to come when there wasn't much business for the bath-house to make sure that few knew of their arrival, she was now talking to Yubaba who had looked at her weirdly before allowing her to roam the corridors with a small warning of "Don't keep the staff too busy, I expect them to be able to continue with their usual tasks". She didn't quite understand why her staff would be interested in her; after all, even if warashi children were difficult to come around to meeting, they weren't all that uncommon.
She didn't have to wait long for a yunna to come up to her screeching and yapping only to then drag her towards a bunch of other staff members that insisted on talking to her all at the same time, she answered monosyllabically but they didn't even seem to care for her responses. They all told anecdotes of some things she supposedly did, they must be honestly thinking that she was the same person they met. Pity, she didn't want to disappoint them but they really weren't letting her speak.
Suddenly the doors banged open and a brown haired woman with a desperate look on her face stood there looking frenetically for the person she expected her to be. Her woman threw herself at her asking questions with every breath she took, "Sen, why aren't you answering? Am I talking too quickly? I'm sorry, you must be tried." She turned to look around the room, "Where's Haku, anyway?" She was quickly answered by an opening door "Here I am, what is the commotion about?"
She stared at him, his green hair and bluish eyes were deep and colorful. Very majestic for a dragon. He was very handsome, she couldn't help but notice. She felt like she knew him but she couldn't quite recall from where. She didn't know where the words came from but they burst through her mouth like the sudden downpour of heavy rainfall "Hey there, stranger." She sent him her brightest smile and giggled cutely at his dumbfounded expression. Somehow, he felt very special to her.
She stood and walked up to him, "Sorry but I think you've mistaken me for someone else. I'll be returning to Mama and Yubaba-san now, okay?" She gave everyone a faint glance before rushing past Haku and out the door. Somehow she couldn't help but feel like she was playing with very tender memories that shouldn't have been disrupted. The horrible feeling turned her stomach and left her feeling uneasy; she was sorry. And yet, for a second, she felt very warm in that woman's embrace and under that dragon's gaze.
How weird and warm strangers.
