Pain, and shock, and madness running rampant over his senses, as he forced himself to roll to his side.
A pair of tall black boots appeared in his pain-filled vision, moments before a flash of cold steel silver drew his attention away.
Following the deadly blade to its source, Beckett's eyes widened, his pupil's pinpricks, as fear washed down his spine.
He caught a glimpse of white pearl-like teeth, as the new Captain of the 'Flying Dutchman' flashed them in a parody of a smile.
"So tell me," Will Turner said staring down his sword point at the pitiful excuse for a man, "Do you fear death?"
