JANUARY 1st
Well, today I saw a lovely dress in the Pratt sisters' shop, it was a purple frock type thing with a green and blue collar, I think Miss Lane likes it aswell, I saw her looking at it on her way to see James. Personally I think they make a great couple.
Laura has gone camping down south with her folks. I was told how long they are gone for but I have forgotten now. Anyway a package for Mrs Turril came today. I am told that it contains a nice new rug for their dining room. I am going to go and visit them in my break tomorrow, I want to see what the rug looks like.
Also I heard a conversation between James and Alfie, it seems James wants to take Miss Lane to one of his London hotels, I am sure that she will accept the invitation should there be one.
