DISCLAIMER! I DON'T OWN INUYASHA!

"Inuyasha,"

My head turned to the raven beauty that stood before me. Her deep chocolate eyes seemed a little dull, but her flawless face replaced it, her perfect lips stayed in the tight line of seriousness on her face. She was just plain beautiful.

"Yeah?"

Her face went to look over at the sunset, she sat there for many moments, I could feel the indecision flowing off of her. Her face contorted then formed what seemed like a smile, "I've been thinking a lot, about life, about us."

It took all my might not to look like a lost puppy when she said "us". "What do you mean?" Her face dropped a little bit, she looked back at the sunset, "I mean, we've known each other for so long now, and I just feel that there is something more between us than friendship.

"I mean when I first met you, you were so determined for the jewel your goal was set on getting it, and that goal seemed to keep our 'relationship' on the rocks." My gut twisted, I remembered how I had almost killed her in an attempt to get the jewel, I felt guilty at the past thought.

"And I just, I felt that over the months we have known each other, that I can trust you, you have protected me from many demons, during many fights. And you haven't done anything to make me think that you couldn't be trusted." My heart fluttered at her words.

How could this one woman make me feel so at ease?

"I think that too." She looked up at me in surprise, as if she had forgotten I was here.

"Over the time you have convinced the villagers that I am no harm to them, even Kaede has come to understand." I stared back in the direction of the village, the children all ran around, laughing and smiling. Kaede was among them.

"And I just think, if everyone else is alright with this, shouldn't we?" I looked back at her, she was smiling, "Inuyasha….." She leaned forward and my heart raced, especially the moment her lips met mine. It was soft and quick. I pulled back and opened my eyes.

There she stood, before I could react, I heard the pang of the bow's string and the pain of the arrow protruding into my chest. I felt myself get thrown into the Goshinboku, the arrow pinned me there with it's priestess' power.

I stared up through pained and drowsy eyes, her shoulder bled deeply, and her sister held her carefully.

"Kikyo……."

I walked through the forest, my old legs shook a little as I strode through the forest of Inuyasha. I felt an uneasy feeling through my stomach as I stopped, and stared up at the once beautiful and power, Goshinboku.

There in the middle of the tree, lay Inuyasha.

My sister had put much trust into this hanyou, before his betrayal on Kikyo and the village itself.

But I couldn't help shake the sympathetic feeling that flowed through my body, as I spotted something I knew I would never tell a soul. I continued my way through the forest, for the villagers would come looking for me if I didn't hurry.

And the entire way I walked, I couldn't stop thinking of the lone tear that had trailed down Inuyasha's face.
