Jemima sat on the TSE1, letting her feet drape off the edge, when she saw an amazing sight. Right above her, falling into the Junkyard, was an enormous green hot-air balloon. She stared at it as it fell, and fell, and fell, until it landed a few hundred yards behind her. She jumped up, wondering if she should go investigate it. It could be dangerous, one part of her mind told her, but, then again, another part told her, Go ahead, it's calling to you. Jemima heard a groan come from the balloon, a human's groan.

That's it, Jemima thought, This is to creepy. I'm leaving. Even after she decided that, something caused her to drift over to the balloon, and begin searching for the figure who groaned. As she dug through the heap of fabric, she found an old man, with white hair covering his hair and chin. He fluttered his eyes madly, staring at this strange creature. She looks like a cat, he thought, but she's human sized......creepy. Oh, Sweet Oz, where am I? Jemima flinched back a bit.

"Hello," she said, "I'm Jemima. And, you are?"

The man chuckled. "I'm the Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Jemima's eyes widened in amazement. "Oz? What's Oz?" The Old Wizard smiled.

"It's a beautiful city, and almost everything is green. The people are Munchkins; smaller folk. They called me wonderful." The Wizard said, sighing. Jemima gasped. "It sounds wonderful."

The Wizard nodded. "It is. But....I can't go back."

Jemima tilted her head.

"Who's stopping you?" she asked, causing the Wiz to sigh.

"A little blonde called Ga-" he started, before realizing she really could do nothing. Nothing can stop me....plus....animals shouldn't talk.

"Actually," he said, "I was just about to ride back. Do you want to ride back with me?"

Jemima took a step back. "I'd have to ask my parents..." she said, uneasily.

The Wiz smiled. "No, you don't," he said, "I'll just take you there, take you back. It should only take....a few hours even."

Jemima shivered slightly.

"Can I take a friend with me....you know.....so I won't be so nervous?" she asked.

Another talking cat? he thought. "Of course," he said.

Jemima ran off to grab a friend.

"Tumble! Tumble!" she screamed, searching for her friend.

Tumble, however, was occupied at the moment.

"Well...Leccy......Do you-"

Jemima spotted him.

"Tumble!" she cried, running towards him.

Tumble almost glared at his friend; he was about to ask Leccy to the Jellicle Ball.

Jemima hugged her friend. "Tumble, Come on! I have something to show you."

Tumble did a double-take between Leccy and Jem.

Leccy sighed. "You can ask me later.." she said, walking off.

Tumble looked longingly at Lec as she walked off, and turned to Jem, anger welling up inside of him.

"What do you want?" he hissed at her, causing her to avert her eyes to the ground.

"I just wanted to show you something," she murmured. She truely felt sorry for interrupting his moment with Electra, but this was important. "There's a man in a hot-air balloon who's going to take us to a place called Oz, which has Munchkins, and blondes, and is green, and-"

"Whoa! What? I'm confused.." Tumble said, truely confused. Jemima smiled. "You'll have to ask the Wizard."

Tumble's ears perked up.

"Wizard?" he asked. Jem nodded, comfirming what he was hearing was correct.

A huge grin spread across Tumble's face. It must've had something to do with him liking magic. "What are blondes?" he asked.

Jem shrugged. "Let's go ask the Wiz!"

A/N- Yes, I know this chapter is short, but this is a prolouge. It's been terribly fun to write, and, I now, officially, hate the Wiz.
