Ok, so percy and annabeth are all grown up and in a 50s resteraunt, and they are back to back in the booths.
Percy does not know, and annabeth Is listening to their conversation
PERCY POV
I walked into the 50's style restaurant with my buddy Richard and sat down in one of the booths, ordered our food, and started the
conversation that he KNEW I didn't want to talk about. "so, have you seen anyone especially pretty this week? Huh? Huh?" he said.
"Rich, you know I don't want a girlfriend right now!" I said Exasperatedly , running a hand through my hair. "well" he replied tartly.
" why not! Your so handsome you could have the prettiest girl in the world!!!"
ANNABETH POV
I don't think he knows that we are back-to-back in the booths, or that I'm listening to their conversation, for that matter. "why not!
Your so handsome you could have the prettiest girl in the world!!!"
that is a major understatment.
I heard Percy's friend say. "I used to KNOW the prettiest girl in the World, and i let her slip through my fingers."
he muttered. I chuckled to myself. He must be talking about silena.
"no way! You used to know Megan Fox!" his friend said, disbelievingly
"what! no!?!" Percy cried "she was even prettier"
I now had no doubt on my mind that he was talking about the silena.
"are you sure that she was prettier than Megan Fox?" Percy's friend said.
"richard," Percy said "I swear on the river Styx"
Richard looked puzzled. "the river what???"
Then Percy realized what he had said. "oh! Sorry, old habit"
"Righhht" rich said "well, what did she look like?"
I expected him to describe silenas beautiful red hair.
"she had gorgeous blonde hair, and the prettiest gray eyes you could ever see" he said
I stopped and stared. Had he just described…. me????
"well…. Did you date her? Did she like you back? What was her name??"
Percy replied, "nope, never dated her, I was always too chicken."
"I never thought she liked me back, but I loved her more than you know!"
"And her name was.." he whispered "Annabeth"
Wait, Percy loved me??
PERCY POV
As soon as I finished talking, I felt a weird presence behind me.
because i was scared it was a monster, I asked richard to go get my wallet from the car.
Because no one was around, I uncapped riptide and turned around.
But what I saw was something that I would have never expected.
Riptide clattered to the floor.
"a..a..annabeth??" I stuttered, my face turning bright crimson.
Had she heard everything I said?
She stared at me. "do you really love me??" she said cautiously.
"u..um… yeah, kinda"
She walked up so close to me that I could smell the fruity scent of her hair, her face only inches away from my own.
"well, I love you too, seaweed brain." she said, and I closed the gap between us.
