Alice finally got to work, she had to stop for a police car because she had driven a bit fast to work and when she got there she quickly went in the back and saw her friend Naomi Fredrick,with bonde hair and brown eyes setting a order down on the counter for the order caller to read it.
"oh where did you come from?" asked Naomi. "I had to cover for you."
"Oh, sorry i was late, again, Naomi," said Alice. "Thanks for covering for me a bit."
'If you keep this up Chris is going to fire you," said Naomi.
'Tell me about it," said alice as she put on her apron on. "I was trying to get here as fast i could, but a cop caught up with me."
Naomi shook her head and went back out to the dinning area. Alice grabbed her pad and pen and went out behind her friend. Chris Rankin, their manger, who was big and had short hair and grey eyes was coming up to her.
"Miss. carter, can you tell me how you got here late again?" asked Mr. Rankin.
'Oh, i was hurrying,and i police got behind and i had to pull over," said Alice.
She knew it was a lame excuse,but it was pretty much the truth. Rankin didn't really believe her anyways.
"Well i won't fire you this time, we have too many people tonight and i let you fly also, so don't be late for now on," said Mr. Rankin.
"Yes, sir," said Alice.
Alice tighten her ponytail a bit and walked out to the dinning room. she went first to table three and took their order.
"Hi, my name is Alice and i would be your waitress," said Alice smiling and taking out her pad and pen.
she listened to what the couple wanted to eat and drink and said that she will be right back with their drinks. she went to the counter and laid the order pad on the counter for Ben Halway the order caller to say what the people on table three wanted. Alice went back to the corner of the kitchen where the drinks where and she put two wine glasses on the tray along with a bottle of red wine. Then she went to the table three and sent the glasses down next to them and poured the wine in each glass.
"I hope you enjoy it," said Alice smiling.
'Thankyou," said the man.
Alice smiled again and went to the next table to take their order. This time it was a family of four at table eight. The table was a bit loud with the kids talking and the parents trying to tell Alice what they wanted. When they finally did alice said that they will be back with their drinks. When alice went to the kitchen area she saw the tray full of food waiting for her for table three.
"Just got on here," said Ben.
'Thanks," siad Alice.
She took her tray and went over to the table with the couples. when she sent them down in front of them and said," I hope you enjoy it."
Alice went to get two sodas for the kids and two beers for the parents. when she got them she went to table eight and sent them down and also said that their food will be coming shortly. Alice was about to get the next table she saw a man looking through the windows. she thought it was a bit rude of him to do so.
