My Parents Died Heroes

It was that time of the month again. Teddy Lupin-Tonks walked down the tunnel to the Shrieking Shack like every other month. He had done this ever sense his first year at Hogwarts; Harry had showed him the passageway, but had refused to give him the map. Teddy suspected he just liked to watch his own kids walk around the castle.

He walked down the passage slowly, running his hands along the walls. When he got to the Shack, he sat by the little table and read the words and sayings he already had memorized:

"Messer's Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs; Always Marauders"

"Gryffindor rules!"

"Slytherin is rubbish!"

"Snivellus Snape- filthy got of the castle"

"James and Lily 3"

"Sirius and every girl in the castle except Prongs' lovely Miss Evens"

And the most recent:

"Hermione- If I don't make it out of here- I love you- Ron"

Teddy supposed from the stories of Ron and Hermione that that one was never actually read until much later. He traced over each letter of every saying. He always felt so close to his parents here, especially his father for obvious reasons. Near the full moon he always wore his hair a golden brown with streaks of silver in it for his dad. Most of the rest of the time it was either a bubble gum pinky for his mom, or turquoise just because he liked the color. Teddy was remembering in his first year when one of his classmates has asked him if he was Nymphadoras son. His hair had turned a fiery red like it always did when he was angry and he practically growled, "Don't call her Nyphadora."

That had quickly become his saying and anyone who had known his mother always smiled when they heard him say it. He smiled at the memory and fell asleep on the bed his father had probably never actually used over a full moon, dreaming of his parents with a smile still on his face.

The End.
