If Justice was a Woman
If justice was a woman, she would have two lovers
One a her prince charming, the other her slave
Light
Her prince that comes to seduce her, to change her gown of white
To crimson with the blood of those who would oppose him.
To free her eyes from her blindfold, so she will look only at him
He wishes to wed her and bed her, so that all may she, he and justice are one.
L
Her slave that jealously guards her, demanding that nothing change her
Sacrificing love, family, and friend just to be her beside her
Like the knights of old he wishes to bring the heads of her enemies
And lay them at her feet.
Proudly bearing her crest upon his heart.
-
Could a woman have two greater lovers?
One that would kill for her?
One that would die for her?
One that would free her from the law that binds her.
One to keep her safe behind them.
If justice was a woman
Who would she choose?
