Disclaimer: The Ringwraiths are the creation of Tolkien. *sigh* Although, this Ode is my creation.

"Ode the Ringwraiths"

Darkness falls and the end is near,
They are here,
Riding on the shadows of the moon,
Rising from the mists.

Searching for the Ring,
Obeying their master,
Riding for the One.

Evil is their ally,
Terror is their source,
Fear is their livelihood.

Beware the Black Riders,
They have no mercy,
They will kill to achieve the Ring,
You think you can run from them?
They will find you.

Running is an option,
Hiding is recommended,
But no matter what you do,
You can never escape the nightmare.
You'll be plagued by fear,
Never knowing when they'll come.

Do you hear them coming?
Look over your shoulder often,
Listen in the night for their horse's hooves.
What was that movement?
Was it a shadow?
Or was it something darker?

Woe to those who battle them,
Pity to those who oppose them,
Sadness to the one who becomes one of them.

They can sense the Ring,
They can manipulate mortals,
They have a dark power.
You'd be foolish not to fear them,
You'd be wise to respect them.
The wise and the foolish both run from them.
They've seen you now,
They can sense you thinking about them.
What's that looking through your window?
You looked didn't you?
You are indeed wise.
What? You didn't look?
Perhaps you should,
Something could be creeping up on you,
Using your own shadow against you.

Take heed my friends,
Be wary of the world, of the unknown.
The world holds the key,
But the unknown will set you free.

Author's Note: Well, I decided to post this the day the LoTr DVD came out. It seemed so fitting. *Riders behind author nod* Anyway, hope you enjoyed the poem and please review. *glances at Nazgûl blade* Pretty please.
