The Legend
Here in this peaceful land,
Seven years have passed,
And sadly,
'Tis not so peaceful anymore
Devils run among the fields,
Killing everything in sight,
This is the doing of the evil king,
His heart as dark as the land
There is no one to oppose this evil reign,
For so long we have looked for hope,
But our searches are in vein,
The king is relentless,
He will not see any rebellion,
That much he has made clear,
The ones who tried were never seen again
There is one who does not seem afraid,
He is young with much life ahead of him,
From the town he came,
Where no one has been these last seven years,
He stayed for not very long,
But when he left,
Things began to change
In the weeks that came to follow,
Strange beams of light,
Came from all corners of the land,
One from the forest,
One from the mountain,
One from the lake,
One from the village,
One from the desert,
And one from the town,
Together the locations of the Temples of old,
The blood of sages and heroes awakened,
The reign of evil's end is nigh,
The ground begins to tremble as the castle begins to crumble,
The darkness is fading and the light is shining through,
The king is dead! The kingdom sees light!
Within the celebration,
A melancholy tune is heard,
The voices quiet and faces turn to the ruins of the castle,
The music weaves patterns through the morning light,
Pure blue light shines bright and the song ends as the light fades,
...Though nobody knew it,
The true hero of this tale left this time forever,
Never to be heard from again,
The sages duties finished,
Returned to live among us,
The hero...
His story was passed down through the generations,
Until the time it became legend,
The Hero of Time,
With the Seven Sages,
Defeated the Evil King,
And brought peace back to Hyrule.
