Quinn sighed, and leaned against her white headboard. It'd been a week since the incident. The unfortunate moment when Quinn made a mistake she knew she'd regret for the rest of her life; cheating on Sam. Throughout the week, she was unable to attend church, or see his innocent face without feeling a pang of guilt in her heavy chest.

Hearing the chime of the doorbell, Quinn groaned, and pushed herself off of her bed, thinking 'Here goes nothing.' Her feet heavily dragged across the hard-wood floor and down the long flight of stairs. Opening the heavy, wooden door, Quinn's vision focused on Sam's unsuspecting face as he leaned in towards her, placing a sweet, soft kiss on her cheek. Giving him a half-smile, Quinn felt guiltier as she looked at the light in those innocent green eyes. She couldn't help but wonder how long those eyes would be hers to gaze in.

"Hey, beautiful."

"Come in," Quinn replied shyly, looking down at the white gladiator sandals on her feet.

Sitting next to him on the love seat, Quinn leaned into Sam, feeling his strong arms wrap around her. After kissing him with all her might—because who knows if this will be the last time or not—she pushed him away gently, and felt embarrassed, color rising to her cheeks.

"I asked you to come here because I needed to tell you something, Sam."

His slightly calloused, loving hands lifted her chin up, and in that moment, she knew that he loved her. She couldn't help but think, 'But how long will this moment last?'

Fidgeting with the ring around her finger, Quinn let out a deep breathe, and opened her mouth to speak. After stumbling over her words the first time around, she barely choked out the words that had been lying in her mouth, just waiting to come tumbling out.

"I… lied to you." Seeing Sam's face crinkle in confusion made this ten times harder than it already was. Quietly, Quinn whispered the words. "I… I k-kissed him."

She saw the color drain from his usually vibrant cheeks. "Sam, Sam I'm so sorry." Feeling his hands start to pull away, she tugged them back, pleading.

"Sam, I'm so sorry. I love you. I chose you. I don't want to be with Finn. You're all I wanted." The couch shifted, indicating to her that it was over. Quinn buried her face in her hands, not believing that this love could be over. This perfect love she had with Sam was over because of a stupid mistake.

"Please, don't leave. I'm so sorry. Say something."

"What," Sam started, shrugging his shoulders. "What do you want me to say, Quinn? It's okay? That it doesn't hurt me? Because it's not, and it hurts."

Quinn just stared at the ground, shaking her head and finding herself unable to speak.

When she finally looked up, Quinn saw those green eyes meet hers for the last time, filled with sorrow and disappointment, instead of innocence and love. She fell into the couch as he turned to leave, expecting his arms to catch her like in the familiar way they always did. But no, not this time. This time, there were no strong arms. There were no sweet kisses. There were no green eyes. This time, there was no one.

AN: Hey guys! Thanks for reading my fic! I'd love to have reviews about what you think of the story, or even grammatical or structural aspects of it I could fix. This is my first drabble at a fic, so I hope you enjoyed! Thanks again!
