Before I start this story, I just want to tell you guys that Walt doesn't exist. He is just so irrelevant to me because he is a giant rock in my ship of Sanubis, so he needs to be eliminated. Thank you!

Hey, it's Sadie. I honestly don't trust Carter with the narrations anymore because nowadays, all the bloke can think about is Zia. Zia, Zia, Zia. It's quite hilarious how whipped he is. [Oh, shut it, Carter. You know it's true.]

But anyways, it's been a while since we fought Apophis. Carter became the king of the Gods, I continued my practice of magic, and everyone has been pretty okay. It's also been quiet around here with no pesky gods to be bothered with (other than my mum and dad occasionally).

This particular day was uneventful just like the most recent ones have been. It was about an hour until curfew, but I was ready to turn it in early. I had brushed my teeth and threw on a random t-shirt and shorts. I was braiding my hair for bed when there was a knock coming from my window.

Yes, you heard correctly. My window. Not the door, but the window.

Uneasily, I opened the window and I was greeted by dark, brown eyes that resembled chocolate.

"Anubis?" I almost whispered. "What the heck are you doing here? And why are you at my window?"

He leaned on the sill, his hair falling down onto his forehead. "I have to speak to you. There were still people outside."

"Oh..."

There was a silence.

"May I come in, Lady Kane?" he asked.

I almost face-palmed myself. This hot god was hovering outside my window (probably shivering from the wind), and I just let him. I'm so stupid!

"Er, yeah. Of course," I moved away from the window so that he could climb in. Once he was in, I sat stiffly on the edge of my bed, trying to keep my cool. I mean hello! Anubis in all his hot glory is standing right in front of me! "So, what did you need again?"

"I think it's about time I explained to you somethings." His voice was low. My eyes were drawn to his hands. He was fiddling with his fingers.

Okay, I'm going to have to cut the string right there! I'm sorry to leave you guys hanging, but that's kind of the point here. As soon as I get about ten reads, I'll update again!
