The Mudblood

Excitement coursed through her veins as a result of three simple words. "I made it." Her shocking, soft, baby blue eyes sparkled like sapphires with the light of a thousand stars. They seemed as if they could bathe the entire world in a heavenly light. The corners of her soft, pale, pink lips, were turned up slightly, but that small smile, that little smile, shed a fraction of light onto how she truly felt. Her skin appeared to be positively glowing. However, these three small details, were the only parts that displayed joy and emotion. She knew, that any outward signs of emotion were looked down upon like muggles, mudbloods, and squibs. She took a deep breath with an effort to conceal the little details that, against her will, showed through the thick veil of blankness which hid all her feelings away so no one else could see them. When she was confident that her face regained the impassiveness that it always wore, she put her chin in the air and walked, no glided, as her mother always said, to the parlor. On the other side of the manor, the young Malfoy scoffed, tossed the letter aside, and strutted to the parlor. He had already known that he was going to be at Hogwarts. He was a Malfoy for God's sake.

They finally reached the parlor

"Well…" Narcissa Malfoy questioned, although she already knew the answer.

"I received my letter at 7:31 this morning Mother." Narcissa then turned and nodded to her son.

"I did too, Mother. Except I received mine at 7:32." He replied, glaring at the younger girl next to him all the while. "Well then, we best be getting to Diagon Ally."

September 1st

They arrived at Hogwarts. Even the two children that normally kept their faces impassive, they couldn't contain the little bit of awe that showed itself.

"Well, well, well, it looks like the rumors on the train were true. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts."

"Oh shut up Draco. I have to deal with enough of your garbage at the manor. I don't need it here and I am certain that Harry here doesn't either. Besides, he isn't an animal to be stared at and such."

Everyone suddenly became silent. For the first time in his life, Draco didn't know what to say. He always had witty comebacks for every possible scenario with every possible person. However, he was so used to being able to run all over her that he hadn't even thought about needing comebacks for her. "Just shut up. No one cares about your opinion anyways you filthy little mudblood." Then, she did the unthinkable. She laughed.

"Is that really the best you can come up with? Wow, you have certainly lost your touch Draco."

"Be quiet Eileen. Father will hear about this. Mark my words."

"If you think that I give a damn about what your pathetic father thinks, your wrong."

This time, Draco really didn't have a comeback. He just stood there. Everyone leaned in to see what the person that stood up to Draco Malfoy looked like. She had long, deep, rich chestnut curls that fell softly down her shoulders and past her waist in a waterfall like fashion. Her creamy, rich skin had absolutely no blemishes of any kind as far as anyone could see and made her look almost albino. The girl had soft baby blue eyes that sharpened to an electric, royal blue when she was angry. Her lips were a perfect shape and pale pink color. Her nails were colored a light, almost transparent pink. She had no make-up on whatsoever. Before her little outburst happened, some thought that she looked like a porcelain doll that could shatter with the lightest touch. She had proven them wrong though.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Please follow me." The sorting had begun.
