Black With Two Sugars

When Rodney wakes up John is doing sit-ups on the floor with his back to him. He blinks for a moment then settles back to watch.

"Morning." John grunts and Rodney jumps.

"Morning… Is there-"

"Nightstand." John gasps; stretching now and sure enough, when Rodney looks there's a cup of coffee on the table by his bed, black with two sugars and still boiling hot.

"But, it's hot; you've been up for ages."

"Yeah." John stands and then walks over to kiss him softly on the lips. "But I know what you look like when you're about to wake up."
