The young male walked down the dark alley. He knew someone was following him. He just didn't know the identity of them. Yes, there were more than one of them. Two, he had counted. And he was only too desperate to lose them. 'Who are they? What do they want with me?' these were the questions swirling in his head. After a lot thinking he settled on the theory that they were Boris' men sent by his grandfather to kill him. With that decided, he broke off into a run, in hopes he will be able to outrun them. But they kept up with his pace. Then came a dead end. He was trapped. There was no escape. He was well and truly screwed. He couldn't call for help. He couldn't save himself. That was it. This was the end. He won't live anymore. Even knowing his soon to come end, he took a fighting stance. He wasn't that much a weakling to just give up and die. If he was going down then he'd at least try to put up a fight. The two older looking males advanced on him. He braced himself for the forthcoming. He had expected sharp daggers and high quality machine guns. He had expected hard hits and harsh death. What he hadn't expected was a familiar laughter and a familiar voice full of amusement. What was so funny?
"Hello Kai" said the voice.
"Tala!" he was shocked to say the least. "What's so funny?" he asked them.
More laughter. Then the wolf spoke up.
"Kai. You're not going to die. Stop acting like it. We were just messing around with you."
"Yeah Kai." another voice spoke up. This one belonging to a fair haired falcon that lived with them. "It was just a prank. Didn't know you were that paranoid to think we were hired to kill you or something."
"How did you know what I was thinking?"Kai gawked at Bryan.
"It's obvious little one. We know you only too well to not know what's in your mind."
At that Kai's temper rose.
"Tala. Bryan. Run."
"Huh?" was the intelligent response from the two Russian bladers.
Then before they knew what hit them, Kai punched them both square in the face simultaneously, successfully knocking them out cold.
"That's what you get for scaring a Hiwatari. Hmph" and Kai walked off. And the two older Russians' bodies lay there, freezing to death in the cold night air of Moscow. And it was going to be like it until a certain burly blond blader came here to pick them up for the funeral ceremony that was sure to be held once they faced the giant firebird that is Dranzer.
Author's note:
Hi again! Ready or not here I come! So this is my third fic. Yeah I know it was even shorter. It's just ideas keep crossing my mind you know. This occurred to me in the English class. I don't get why exactly the ideas come to me when I'm doing something related to English. Oh well. Hope you like it.
And readers, this is another thing I wanted to ask in my first fanfiction. 'What do you mean by OC?'
