Disclaimer: I do not own FF7 and it related games in anyway. I wish that I could have created such a masterpiece of storytelling but I lack the skill.
A/N: I was playing FF Dissidia recently, I only just finished it. So I started training up Sephiroth because I wanted to see what his later powers were like when something about the poem of LOVELESS from Crisis Core dawned on me.
This is my interpretation of what the story means. It basically Genesis rewording the poem so that it fit with his, Sephiroth and Angeal's.
A LOVELESS SACRIFICE.
-The Knowledge of What to Come-
When the war against the Cells of the evil being JENOVA reaches it's final stages, the world will face the greatest threat it had ever seen. Deaths so many that the life stream will seem to surround the world. People touched by JENOVA, evil and good will come upon the land. And the life stream will finally take them, in to death to become one with the planet.
-Life and Death-
The truth of the life stream, is a unsolvable puzzle. We fly through life as best we can, heading towards it as if it we seek it in death. And there in the life stream we shall travel on for the rest of time. The minds of all living in eternal life as nothing more then a piece of what it once was. But there is no hate in the life stream, only joy. For being one with the planet is our final goal, the never ending power that heals the world and keeps the planet alive so those that live on may see the dawn once again. My musing of what is to come, pains me to know. Pride in power is lost, and power is taken away, as the coming of what I have seen is upon us.
-The Friend that Left-
Sephiroth, do you leave for death so soon? Into the life stream where the cells in our veins will lead to only rejection. For here I see that only pain will fill the rest of your days, regardless of where in the world you go. "Genesis" you reply, "You desire is life but mine is not. Remember this, when the day comes even if others no longer hold true to there words, I will return, nothing can prevent my course of destruction."
-The Friend that was Lost-
Angeal, fate is cruel to take life from you. No longer do you dream, no longer do you hold the honour that you did in life. The life stream has taken you from this life to the next one. Still I remain, fill with raging thought of revenge on those that played with our lives this way. I have travel through many pains and fought to go on to find what I seek. My salvation the gift of the life stream, the Goddess Materia to grant me life to go on, as you sleep in the life stream. One day the world will speak of the sacrifice I made in locking myself away ready for the threat to come. As the life passes by fuelled by the life stream, time passes by slowly, quietly in my isolation.
-Promises of Atonement-
Sephiroth. Angeal. One day the day will come, and even if people in those days break their word, I will not. I promise this. I will return, nothing will stop me. I will return to become the rallying point, the knowledge that will give the power to those of the time to prevent the worlds end. To save the coast, the ocean, the skies and all of the world. I remain here waiting, my silent sacrifice.
