You all know how the episode "Over the Top"? This one-shot is a what-if, in which Skips doesn't kill Rigby when ruining that punk's prank and ill-gained winning streak.
WARNING: A smidge of Rigby bashing ahead!
At that moment when Skips challenged Rigby to another arm wrestling match at McHooligan's, the immature raccoon was confident that he'd be able to get away with cheating yet again. "Why is Rigby cheating," you ask? Because the lazy raccoon had been cheating against his immortal co-worker as a prank, by means of a robotic arm.
When this match started, Skips made a sudden move, wrenching away the robot arm that allowed him to cheat for all to see; this particular example happens to be a PlayCo ArmBoy, which was developed by PlayCo, a subsidiary of a Japanese robotics firm known as Yoshimoto Cybernetics.
In addition, Rigby gets beaten by Skips, who used a small portion of his strength and also regaining his pride.
Shocked, the arrogant mischief-making slacker gasped, "How did you know!?"
That's when he quickly realized that someone had probably told Skips about his prank, and there is only one person he knows that most likely would tell the immortal yeti…
"Mordecai," Rigby started like the sore loser he is, "Why'd you tell Skips about the ArmBoy?! You spoiled my prank!"
Sternly, the blue jay replies, "Listen, Rigby. You've been taking that thing way too far, and it's about time that your little winning streak ended. Dude, you should consider yourself lucky he didn't even kill you right there! I mean, you were also getting big-headed, too!"
Skips then added, "The reason why you used that thing is because you wanted to get a laugh out of me losing, and you becoming a big shot. Your luck ran out when Mordecai told me of that so-called prank of yours. Cheating in general is dishonorable, you know, and it's not a laughing matter."
Pops, shocked at Rigby for having played such dirty tricks, cried out, "Bad show, bad show, Rigby!"
Muscle Man jokes, "You know who else likes to cheat in arm wrestling with a robot arm? My mom!" before saying to the raccoon, "But seriously, dude, that was really cheap," as Hi-Five Ghost nods in agreement with a disappointed look.
Benson scolds, "I'm not going to argue with anybody else on this one, Rigby, you should be ashamed of yourself! It's one thing for you to slack off, but using that robot arm to cheat against Skips as a cruel joke, it's disgusting! Now, why don't you apologize to Skips for pulling that prank on him, OR YOU'RE FIRED!"
Shaking in fear of the gumball-machine-man's threat of firing him, and with Muscle Man, Hi-Five Ghost, Mordecai, Pops, and Skips glaring at him expectantly, Rigby caved and apologized somewhat hesitantly, "Skips, I-I-I-I'm sorry that I ch-ch-ch-cheated against you. A-a-and I promise never to use that thing to play dirty again, really!"
At this, Skips replies with a smile, "Now, that's what I wanted to hear," before tossing the ArmBoy into a nearby trashcan. Later that day at the park, Benson, with some help from Skips, made some new rules, banning the use of the device on the premises. Needless to say, quite a few of them were confiscated on sight since then.
End
Well, that's all for the tip of the bun. Forgive me if this one-shot isn't a very long one, at least 600 or so words, but I thought it would be interesting to explore this kind of what-if scenario.
