Hi! First story! Don't go easy on me, I want to improve. Basically, if you think something's wrong, tell me. If you like something, tell me.
Disclaimer: Credit for the style goes to Twilight Scribe, author of Z Skit Theater. I do not own the name Kartoffel, it belongs to Alaia Skyhawk. I also do not own Tales of Symphonia. It belongs to the people of NAMCO, is licensed to Nintendo, and made by NAMCO Tales Studio. This is only loosely affiliated with Alaia Skyhawk's Restoration series, and not meant to be a part of it.
This is based off of the very interesting conversation that Alaia Skyhawk and I had. Yes, the same one that spawned Pope Potato. It would be accessible after you meet Zelos, but before you meet the Pope in his office.
SPOILER ALERT!
This is a spoiler for a part of Hope to Restoration(The name ONLY), and most of the game Tales of Symphonia.
Zelos is Bolded, Lloyd is Italicized, and Kratos is Underlined.
Hey, Zelos, everyone has a name, right?
Yeah. Why do you bring that up, though? A little weird.
Because I was just wondering, what's the Pope's? We never got his.
Kartoffel.
...Kartoffel, hmm...
Woah! What are YOU doing here?!
I am simply retrieving something that Lord Yggdrasill requires. And can't I check on my own son?
Sacred wood, right? And what's so "hmm..." about the name Kartoffel?
It's an ancient word for "potato".
I'm surprised you remembered, Lloyd. It was one of the more interesting words you picked up.
Woah! Lloyd, you know old languages? How old IS that word?
It died out around four-thousand sixteen years ago, when Balacruft abandoned their own kingdom and was assimilated into Sylvarant. It would appear I must go, though.
Lloyd...
Don't tell anyone. The Professor gets scary when she's interested in something.
Agreed.
This was all based off of the fact that the word for Pope and the word for potato are the same in Spanish, except Pope is capitalized. Very fun conversations, indeed. Capitalizing your potato salad. That's all I'm gonna say.
