Daisy Allen Nallie told people her name was Dan. She never offered any last name, and when prodded she would say that she didn't see why the information was relevant. Its not like Daisy was in hiding from her past or anything of the sort. She just feels like Daisy belongs in 2077, and Dan belongs in 2287 and on.
The girl lived differently. Daisy always had her waist length hair in signature silky waves, Dan always has her waist length hair in signature greasy braids.
In any other point in her life she was lucky. She was lucky enough to be her parents' favorite child, despite being the youngest of five. She was lucky enough to graduate collage with a doctorate in Bioscience in record time. She was lucky enough to have a friend who offered Daisy sleep on her couch instead of the rundown motel in concord. She was lucky enough to have said friend name her the godmother of her son, Shaun.
She was even lucky enough to get a reservation into vault 111 with Nora despite not being a local.

"You worry too much Nora, Nate will be home soon enough." Daisy told her. Slinging an arm around Nora's shoulder she continued. "I never thought to ask before, but did you consciously seek out a partner who had a similar name to yourself?"
Looking in the bathroom mirror back at her friend Nora sighed. Nate had been called out on duty at a post hours away from their home, and had decided to stay at the base for the time being. Nora figured it wouldn't last too long, but couldn't help but worry. What if Nate missed Shaun's first steps? What if Nate missed his son's first words?
The older woman decided to voice her worries. "What if Shaun misses his Dad?"
Daisy held back an eyeroll.
"Shaun can barely see ten feet in front of him at this point, he shouldn't notice if anything's amiss." The hazel eyed girl said to Nora. "And if he does, we can just sit him down and tell him the truth that I'm not actually his godmother, but his mother's mistress."
Daisy liked Shaun – and if she actually had a kid, she'd want them to be as cute as her friend's baby. When Nate had invited her over for dinner one night - she had been nervous that he was going to tell her to lay off his pregnant wife. All Daisy's flirting was harmless in her opinion, but she didn't want to confront the issue off Nora's overbearing husband. We all get that pregnant women being in a stress-free environment is ideal, but come on. Friendly banter that can be passed off as flirting isn't stressful. And cute petnames, Daisy personally believes, should be used at every opportunity. Daisy still nervous as hell.
Imagine her shock when the expecting couple had asked if she would be willing to be the godmother of their kid. Daisy swore to herself she would be the best goddamn godmother to ever godmother.
Nora giggled.
"I mean, I'm not implying I'd be the best replacement dad, I'm just stating the fact that I'd be the best replacement dad." Daisy said.
Nora straight-out snorted.
Daisy continued to cling onto the mother. "Now stop hogging the mirror and let me pee without you in here."
"You're never going to find a partner with that potty mouth." Nora scoffed with a smile on her face at Daisy.
"Just you watch Nora, I'll have a harem full of the most exquisite people imaginable."
"Whatever floats your boat D; I'll go make sure Cosworth is doing good. He already views you as a part of the family you know." Nora said, walking out of the restroom.

Nate didn't make it to vault 111. Daisy isn't sure there was a vault, or a shelter of sorts, to protect him total nuclear annihilation. Daisy didn't bring it up with Nora.
Daisy offered to hold Shaun, but Nora softly refused.
Daisy watched as Frost covered the pod she was in.
