He'd done it. Just what they'd asked, with his own little twist. Of course. He gave her the ring, kissed her one last time, and left her standing in the rain. He just casually walked away, back to his car. All for show. He had to act like it didn't hurt, like it was all fine. He'd be punished if he didn't. But once he got to the car, the act was over.
