Chapter One: The Beginning of a Journey
Thwack, thwack, thwack went the arrows as it sunk into the target painted on the tree. The archer, a tall black haired sliver eyed girl, was pleased with her successful bulls-eyes.
A large graceful black and silver dragon which lay nearby made a comment on the excellent shot she made from 1000 meters away. 'You're getting pretty good at archery.' Onyxstar thought to her friend.
The girl, Aries Sarasdaughter, thought back 'Thanks,' back to her bonded companion before nocking an arrow to the bowstring and pulling back to full draw and smoothly released the arrow so it landed a mere inch from the other arrow.
'Your control over an arrows flight has improved so that you can line them up within a few inches of each other/' Onyxstar observed with pride for her human friend. 'A rare talent indeed' Onyxstar added somewhat smug for her friends uncanny skill.
"Still I can't practice dueling without anyone here to work with, so with my sword all I do is work on are my sword forms and drills." Aries said resignedly, before moving to collect her arrows. Being careful not to break any of them, she pulled them from the tree and, and placed them back in her quiver.
'Urgals' Onyxstar's mind shouted at her companion.
'Where exactly?' Aries responded to her friend shout.
'1.34 kilometers to north-north east.' Onyxstar thought back.
"Let's move!" Aries firmly stated. "We need to observe their behavior and move on. Remember to stay out of their sight. Then let's continue are journey to the Varden."
'Let us hurry. I feel as if these Urgals are related to Durza's movements.' Onyxstar mused ever so gently.
"I was thinking the exact same thing. Let us go," Aries states, before slipping itno the shadows of the forest.
When we reached the urgal horde we were surprised to see another dragon and rider with a warrior fighting the urgals off in front of the enterance to the Varden. The Urgal's were deffinately Durza's group of Urgals followed closely with a few dozen Kull.
