It hurt.
Emma couldn't feel the tightness in her chest. She couldn't feel the heaviness of her chest, the erratic beating of heart. She couldn't feel the pain gushing out of her cold black heart.
But it hurt. Watching him stand there, eyes blank as he stared into the sea. Anger contorted his handsome face into a permanent snarl. But she could see everything. She could see all the sadness and the pain underneath. She could see the way his shoulders slumped, the way his hands trembled, the way his eyes watered.
She knew it hurt so much.
It could kill her seeing him like this. It really could, but she knew that would never happen.
Images of their dance in Camelot flashed in her mind. A small smile escaped to her lips. She remembered the way his eyes lit up, the way his mouth hung open as she walked down the staircase. He looked just as beautiful that night. She had missed the feeling in her belly when he wears that thick leather coat. She had missed the way he smelled - of leather and of sea. When he took her hand, she remembered the sparks that lit up her skin. She remembered how everything faded and it was just the two of them. The small brushes and the tender touches. The loving looks and the teasing smirks.
He was perfect.
Everything was perfect.
That was until Regina decided to ruin everything.
It was kicking in again, she knew. It was wrong. She knew it was wrong. But she was so tired. She was so tired of fighting it that she let the darkness blame everything on Regina. And being near him didn't help. Not when all she could think of was what they could have been if none of this happened. Not when the voice inside her head kept telling her that she could have him with just one flick of her hand.
No. She wasn't going to do that. Not to him.
Why was she even here? Why was she watching him mope around like a sick puppy? She craved for his touch, his smile, his kiss. She wanted to walk over and just pulled him for a kiss. She wanted to just melt against him, to just bewith him. She wanted every single fiber of him and she just...
At the same time, he dropped his head. A small sound that sounded like a sob reached her ears.
Perhaps. Perhaps that was why she was here. To hurt herself. To feel pain. To feel something, even the slightest bit of emotion dripping onto her cold heart.
Nothing.
Yet she waved her hand in the air, magic seeping out of her fingers. A few seconds later she could see the silhouette of a ship in the distance. It was the least she could do.
Not tearing her eyes off of him, she quickly waved her hands in the air again. He was about to turn around when a puff of smoke enveloped her.
Time slowed.
She watched as his blue eyes fell upon her in surprise, in pain, in love.
She watched as his soft lips parted, breathing out her name.
She watched as a tear rolled down his cheek.
The smoke enveloped her completely. There was a moment of silence and darkness as she transported herself.
It hurt so much.
Yet she couldn't feel anything.
A little drabble just to get my writing juices flowing again. I'm finally feeling a whole lot better. It won't be long before I update No Sound Without Silence again.
I loved their second dance. I mean the flower crown was so so pretty :3 They were sooooo adorable! I wish they made it longer!
But we got 2 hot kisses. Like ultra hot kisses. That's okay. I'm fine. I'm really fine. *dies*
