Truth in Legends
By Morwen
Disclaimer: I sadly own nothing…
Summary: 'most legends were based on some reality, as mine was.' Sparda started a story; it was up to his son to finish it.
Set after DMC1
Ok I was bored and wanted something to write, and here is the result.
I am a legend, although I shall never be remembered as one; the world which once revered me as a god has now faded into nothingness. Humans no longer believe in the myths that they were told as children; for that is all they appear to be now, tales for parents to entertain bored children with; however, behind every tale lays a truth; most legends were based on some reality, as mine was.
Even now, as I sit writing this account, I can still clearly recall how I came to my decision to betray my brethren and turn my back on everyone and everything I once knew. I feel it is time that the world I constantly defend from attack, knows how it came to have some semblance of liberty…
Dante was unable to read over the next few pages as they were too heavily crusted and soaked with old dried blood; 'he must have wrote this just before he died', Dante realised, 'or even just as…' The way the last line was nothing more than a diagonal line going off the page made him think that whoever was sent to kill him, had taken him by surprise, and the amount of blood that was soaking through the pages through to the back cover also testified this; he had bled heavily onto the book.
Dante sat silently a few moments in thought, his father had started writing his story, but never had a chance to finish it…Dante would. As a child Sparda had often told him the truth of what happened, and he remembered. After fighting Mundus on Mallet, he felt he knew enough to continue the story where Sparda left off.
He would let the world know there was reality behind legends, as his father had wanted to. He sat and started to write the truth.
The Legend of Sparda.
Told you i was bored.
I AM trying to get Arow to finish BIA3...just taking a little more time to finish it than we thought.
