Sam woke early, despite staggering in from the previous night's hunt at 2:30 am. He rose quietly, padding over to the window and peering out at the motel parking lot. He blinked, taking in the surroundings. A thick blanket of snow turned the Impala, the parking lot, everything white, the snow still falling steadily.
"Blankety-blank," he muttered, unconsciously slipping into Jess' preferred, milder cusswords. Sam stepped back to the blanket chest next to Dean's bed. He extracted an extra blanket, switched off the alarm and blanketed Dean's slumbering form. He'd let Dean sleep in; they were snowbound for the day.
