There are days when Sharon reverts her fuchsia eyes from the colour and the steam her teacup contains and gazes at him. Pale countenance, tired crimson eye, skinny body. That is what she usually discovers when her albino companion agrees to have breakfast with her. A smile is brought on his visage every time she lectures and advises him to take more care of himself. To cease his reckless actions, even though, deep inside her heart she is aware that he will never do so.

The lady is afraid. To lose him. To not be able to hear his voice anymore. To not be able to receive his warm hugs. To not be able to feel his lips on her forehead at all. Her heart is tightening at those thoughts and her orbs are stinging by tears of sadness.

He will die soon.

More stabs make their way through her chest. Can she really remain calm when her being is controlled by worries? Can she return him a reassuring smile to his own?No. But a Rainsworth Lady should be cheerful, gracious and beautiful no matter the situation she is facing. Would tears be a bad thing if they were to fall on her cheeks without a mouthed reason?

Perhaps they will cause unwanted awkwardness from her big brother. Break will surely not acknowledge her as an equal if she sobs in front of him like that. A fragile little lady, just a child, these are the thoughts he has concerning her. In spite of her appearance, she is not a kid anymore, not a weak person at all. Sharon is a grown-up woman in her early twenties. She is strong enough to hold back the rain of her eyes, she is able to stand by her own and to protect what she loves. To be by his side and to cover him with her protection. That is what she wishes. That is what she will do.

But now she is unable to fulfill this task. No matter how hard she refrains herself from crying, the young lady is still a human. And in these situations, even strong people show their weakness. Sharon is no different from them.

Teardrops begin to cross her cheeks in silence, a bitter feeling pressing her chest. It looks like she failed and this realization pains her even more. Good grief Break cannot see her at all. But is that really true? His sight is bad but his other senses still work perfectly and are even more shrewd than before.

Milady ? With an amazed expression, he calls her while his fork is set down on the table along with the piece of cake he had just started to enjoy. The simple adressing the white-haired man made, surprised her and she quickly attempted to wipe away the unwelcomed tears, but the sudden approach of him, startled her. Then, Sharon felt the fabric of his sleeve touching her head and patting it gently. This simple gesture helped her ease the weight from her heart.

A tint of blush slightly coloured her cheeks. Then another smile appeared on his face, but not one of amusement, not even a forced one, but a caring one of a brother. Her heart almost melted when she noticed it, lighting up his pale features. It was like back then, when she was just a child, when his pats and smiles were a motive of glee. Now they were precious to her being and so was him.
