Prologue

Finnick Odair's trident digs deep into Silvia Henson's chest. Silvia vomits blood. We here the cannon and then the trumpets. " and the winner of the 65th hunger games is Finnick Odair of District 4!" The announcer says.

" Mom! Dad! Finnick won Finnick won!" I scream. I bounce on the couch and smile. My mom, who I never saw smile who is suffering a rare but deadly sickness smiled. My father stretches his arms. A sigh of relief comes out of him.
