Feed Me Seymour

Professor Gabriel Macbeth, or Gabe as he preferred, walked out of his office and into the main hall of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardary. His hair looked like he'd come off the bad end of a disturbed dragon. That's what he got for working with a Fireflower plant in a closed space. He should have known better. Gabe sighed as he made his way to the greenhouses. He had come to school early to check on the bloody plants, but they were not mature quite yet. He tried to repot them into new soil, and got singed in the process.
As he approached Greenhouse Three, he hesistated before opening the door. Maybe he could put off pruning the sentient venus fly trap he'd named Audrey. She had been rather upset since he'd changed her diet from small rodents to rather large frogs, lizards, and other smaller creatures more natural to her usual habitat.
"Hello, Audrey, ready for a trim?" He asked as he entered, hiding the shears behind his back. A long vine started to creep towards him.
"Hello, Gabe. Feed me?" The massive plant in the darkest corner of the greenhouse started to move forward, more vines acting like spider legs.
"Not yet Audrey, I've got to prune you first." He crept towards the plant meeting it in the middle.
"No." A vine snaked up behind him and wrapped around the shears yanking them out of his hands. "Naughty Gabe." The plant scolded/
"You're getting scraggily. I just want to make sure your beauty shines." Gabe replied, "Great, I'm trying to reason with a plant. Maybe I need to get out of the office more and actually work on those social skills." Gabe shook his head and stepped over another vine closer to a cabinet on the left side of the greenhouse.
"Feed me." Audrey the plant demanded. Gabe sighed. He wasn't getting anywhere and he knew from experience that if he didn't feed the plant soon, there would be problems.
He grabbed some medium sized lizards, and a couple of giant frogs and tossed them to the plant. Audrey inhaled them as usual.
"Thank you Gabe." The plant let out a huge belch. Gabe nodded, he wasn't going to get to prune her today. He made to move out the door, but stopped to look at the Desire Plant he had just repotted. It was thriving and almost mature enough to introduce to the other Desire Plant on the opposite side.
Leaving the greenhouse, Gabe debated to check on the other three greenhouses or to do more research. Deciding he'd had enough of dealing with the plants this morning, he'd went to do research. That was until his stomach started to growl, making him realize he'd skipped breakfast and nearly lunch. It was all in a days work for Professor Gabe Macbeth, Phytomancy and plant expert, of Ilvermorny.
