Summary: A brief encounter between two strangers in a bar, on a sultry summer night between hunts.
He picks idly at the edges of the label on the glistening beer bottle. His eyes flick up to hers; a spark of something flies between them briefly, and is gone.
In that look she sees this guy knows something about death; he is dangerous. A shiver, half pleasure, half fear, chases down her spine like the chill droplets of water that run down the cold glass underneath his blunt fingers.
She wonders how those fingers would feel, touching her hot flesh. If he'd be as clever handling her body as handling the pearl-handled pistol that's tucked into his waistband.
