Edward was driving along down the road talking to Bella, as usual, without looking at the road.
Bella had a devious idea. Now that she was a vampire, it wouldn't hurt her, so she may as well do it.
Edward had just finished telling her a nice story about the Cullen boys' weekend vacation, and of course he was busy looking at Bella instead of the road. He, of course, was driving about one hundred miles per hour.
Bella laughed lightly then put on her act. "OH MY GOODNESS A PEDESTRIAN!!!" She shouted terrified, screaming, pointing to the road.
Edward, caught off guard, swerved the car right and ended up in a ditch. He now knew the joke when Bella began laughing hysterically.
It was a good thing they were both invincible or they might have been hurt. He stepped out of his now totaled Volvo and sighed.
"Good one Bella!" Alice said jumping out of a nearby tree. Jasper, Emmet and Rosalie followed.
Jasper and Emmet were smirking and containing their laughs.
Rosalie stepped forward. "Alice saw it happening and just couldn't miss it."
Edward smirked amused at the entire event. He turned to the still lightly laughing Bella. "This is why I hate, not being able to read your mind!" He took hold of her hand and pulled her into an embrace as she still lightly giggled. "What am I going to have to do with you?" He asked lightly. "You totaled my car!"
"You'll get a new one." Bella said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Actually, Emmet will end up fixing it." Alice piped in after seeing into the future.
"Well as long as I have something to drive in the future." Edward said kissing Bella on the forehead.
"Oh don't worry you will. Emmet is going to put in a new engine with 600 horse power." Alice added.
"I am?" Emmet asked
"No... Not yet. I just thought I'd throw that in there for fun… to see if you'd actually do it." Alice laughed lightly.
"So how do we get home?" Edward asked.
"With Alice's Porsche!" Rosalie said indicating the Yellow vehicle hiding behind the tree.
Edward sighed and proceeded towards the car. "Don't do it again Bells!"
"Oh I won't. I'll come up with something a little more original!" She giggled as they left the 'scene of the crime.'
