A missing scene from Deathly Hallows. It takes place in the middle of 'Nineteen Years Later' and is set around Teddy Lupin and Victoire Weasley. Disclaimer: I own nothing.
"Au revoire, mere," Victoire Weasley said to her mother, Fleur. She kissed both of her cheeks, then gave her a quick hug.
Fleur ran her slim hand through her daughter's violently red hair and muttered, "Why could you not have inherited the blonde?"
"Bye, Dad," she said, ignoring her mother and switching to English. She clasped her father in a bear hug, and he replied, "Bye, Vicky."
"I told you not to call me that," she growled.
He didn't let go. Out of embarrassment, she glanced down at her purple shoes, brought back from France by her grandmother, and her scuffed duffel bag. Stolen from her dad's closet, it had been all over the world, from Egypt to Romania. Or at least that's what the stickers on it claimed.
"Dad," she moaned, "You're being clingy again."
Bill released her and changed the subject, "Teddy's here."
She ran her hair nervously through her hair and feigned casualty, "And?"
Neither of her parents answered. She gave a frustrated sigh and said, "I'll miss you guys."
Grabbing up her bag, she headed quickly to the train. About halfway there, she, quite literally, ran into none other then Teddy Lupin.
It took her a moment to recognize him. The only features that had stayed the same between the last time they had seen each other and then were his big nose, his crinkly brown eyes, and his penchant for not watching where he was going. His hair had been morphed into a turquoise fauxhawk; and out of either irony or obliviousness, he was wearing a silver earring in the shape of a bullet.
"Hey, Victoire," he said once he realized who had barreled into him.
"Hi, Teddy," she answered, her ears slightly pink.
"It's your seventh year, right?" he asked with interest.
"Yup," she popped the 'p' slightly. After a moment of silence, she added awkwardly, "Promise to write me?"
"I'll even visit you," he took hold of one of her hands and pulled her closer to him.
She ran her thumb lightly over the back of his hand and whispered, "You promise?"
"Definitely," he answered. His obnoxiously full lips curled into a roguish smile, which caused Victoire's ears to flush an even deeper red.
They stood in awkward silence for a moment.
"I'd better get on, then," she said, and made to grab her bag.
Teddy had other thoughts. He pulled her back towards himself and enveloped her in a kiss. One hand ran through her hair, not unlike what her mother had done. This time, though, it wasn't the least bit annoying.
They stood there, locked in their own world, until a shocked voice asked, "What are you doing?"
"James?" Victoire nearly shrieked.
James's bright green eyes glowed as he asked, "Why are you snogging Teddy?"
"Why are you here?" she answered loudly.
James shifted his attention to Teddy and asked, "What are you doing?"
"Seeing Victoire off," he answered casually. "Go back to Harry and Ginny, alright?"
"Who?" James asked, still slightly stunned.
"Your mum and dad, Jamie," he reminded the third year.
"Right," he turned and started running, screaming all the while, "Teddy Lupin was snogging Victoire Weasley!"
Who knew there was a reason for his almost being named Ronald, Jr.?
