Hey, this is a pair of "sister poems" I wrote in school because I was bored and had nothing better to do. I'm not going to tell you what they're about; because I'm sure you'll figure it out. Just so you know the beginnings and endings are supposed to be the same, because I felt that they weren't related enough. Anyway, please R&R and enjoy.

A Horse's Heart

I was alone

'Til you came along.

My best friend,

Someone I could confide in.

I always looked forward

To when you'd come to sneak me out.

We'd have so much fun,

Just you and me

And no one else.

Then one day I realized

What I'd have to do to set you free,

And though you might hate me for it,

It had to be.

I'd have to break your heart and mine

To save both you and me.

I still can't find the way

And I'm not sure that there is one,

But I'm going to keep trying.

I don't care what happens to me

I only care for you,

So I will keep trying,

Though I don't know what to do.

And I still don't have the courage to say

How I truly feel inside,

If only you could hear me say

"I love you" just one time.

A Cow's Wish

I was alone

'Til you came along.

My best friend,

Someone I could confide in.

I always looked forward

To when I'd come to sneak you out.

We'd have so much fun,

Just me and you

And no one else.

I didn't know what to do

When you ended up hurt again.

I'd still come to visit you

Then one day you said not again.

You broke my heart that day

And I still can't figure out why.

I'm a mess without you

But feel that I can't cry.

I keep waiting for the day

When we can be together again

And live our lives the way they were.

The biggest and only wish I have

Is that you come back to me.

And I still don't have the courage to say

How I truly feel inside,

If only you could here me say

"I love you" just one time.
