Author's note: Another drabble from me. This one is post episode Two Bodies in the Lab. I'm really nervous about this one!

He sank back onto the rough hospital pillow, the taste of her lips imprinted on his. "Temperance...I...I don't think this is the right time."
Broken hearted, he watched her retreat from him.
She lowered her gaze, he sighed into the heavy silence.
"I can't believe I said that."
"No, you're right." She stood, untangling her fingers from his.
He watched his rejection radiate through her as she turned from him.
"Bones...we can't fail... if we don't start this thing."
"Would we? Fail?" She whispered.
He had no reply.
"I'll come by tomorrow."
He watched her leave, through his tears.
