Hello there! Well, it's been a while hasn't it? A few weeks I believe. Anyways, I wrote this on Thursday and I actually think it's quite cute.

Summary: I walked in from work late that night and didn't find you in the kitchen, I went upstairs and I found you sleeping soundly in our shared bedroom. Fluff, One shot.

Close Your Eyes my Love
It was late when I got home. The house was quiet and the lights were off. You weren't in the kitchen like you usually were. In a way I was glad because I was too tired to eat. I walked upstairs and I found you sleeping soundly in our shared bedroom. I went to the study to do some extra work.
I sat at my desk and opened the computer. The desktop image came on and I couldn't help but smile. It was a picture of you from our last vacation. You had never really liked it, but it was one of my favorites. Your hair was being gently blown by the wind and the sun was shining brightly on your face. I still couldn't understand why you didn't like this picture.
I started my work, but I couldn't concentrate. I sat on my chair with my hair messed up and my glasses were threatening to fall off from the brink of my nose. It was already 11:47pm and the toll of the day's events was getting to me. Perhaps a good night's rest would do me some good.
I closed everything off and I went back to the bedroom. I didn't bother showering. I knew you wouldn't mind. It wasn't the first time, but you knew that I would shower in the morning. I sat on the side of the bed and simply looked at your sleeping form. You seemed content and peaceful. I wondered about what you might have been dreaming of.
I caressed your cheek and you smiled in your sleep. I just sat there and admired your sleeping form for a while longer. You murmured something in your slumber and I placed a butterfly kiss on your lips. You turned on your side and your face was facing mine. Your long hair cascaded down on your face and your delicate eyebrows went down in a frown. Sensing your discomfort, I pushed back your rebellious hair and placed it behind your ear. That beautiful little smile of yours appeared again on your face.
The rhythmic breathing and the sound of each breath that you took seemed to keep my eyes attracted to your face. They sang a melodious symphony to me and they lulled me to sleep. I finally decided to join you in your dreams and rest a little by your side.
As I gently lifted the covers to place myself under them, you stirred in your sleep and your dreams were interrupted. You called me in your awakening and I couldn't help but smile.
"Close your eyes my love and go back to sleep. I'll protect you from your nightmares." I kissed the side of your face and you were asleep once more. I closed my eyes and you subconsciously snuggled up to me. I got comfortable and drifted off as well.

That was cute. Short, but that's the point of one-shots. Well since it's a glorious day outside, I shall go out there and tan. I might just bring a book outside to read and help me pass time. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
