Lily watched her two brothers go off to Hogwarts with a sad smile on her face. She knew her turn would come, and that she, too, would one day go to Hogwarts with them, but as she watched the train slowly disappear as it drew further away, she could not stop the tears cascading down her cheeks. She would miss her brothers a lot and she knew it. Although James sometimes taunted and teased her, he still made everything fun, and Albus was her friend, her best friend, always there for her. How would he survive there without her always there to defend him, to protect him from James's wicked sense of humour? She knew James would take care of Albus, but he could be a little hurtful and unpredictable at times. With a sigh, she closed her eyes and comforted herself with the thought that time would fly by and summer would be back in a flash, and with it her two brothers, but all the same not being with them every day seemed unbearable. Lily smiled as she remembered the summer they had had. It had been one of the best summers, in her opinion. Albus had spent the most part of the summer worrying about which house he would be sorted into, and James had delighted in teasing him that he would definitely be in Slytherin. Lily had got a new broom for her ninth birthday, and they had played Quiddich with Rose and Hugo almost every day. She would miss that, the wonderful feeling of just being with everyone, of playing outside every day with her brothers and cousins, of ganging up with them all on Rose, teasing her about getting top marks in everything, and she wished she could rewind right back to the beginning of summer, that moment when James had come back home and everyone had been together again. "Are you ready to go back home, Lily?" her father's voice broke into her thoughts. A warm, comforting hand on her shoulder brought her back into the present world. As she looked up into her father's kind emerald green eyes, and then at her mother's comforting smile, she knew everything would be okay. At least she was not alone. Her parents were there, her family was there. Teddy was always there for her. Best of all, Hugo was still there, so she was not completely alone after all. The rays of the Sun shined down upon her, giving her a warm, happy glow inside. With a big smile on her face, she looked up into her father's face, and taking his hand, said "I'm ready, Daddy." And she was.
