AN: I literally just thought of this and I started crying.

Shiro was normally the last one to go to bed and would spend the time alone looking at the stars and wondering what his soulmate was up too.
Now if you clicked on this fanfic thinking that Shiro hadn't met his soulmate yet then you're wrong. Shiro often referred to Adam as his soulmate (in this fanfic anyways).
He would spend hours after everyone else had gone to bed talking to Adam through the stars even if his love couldn't hear him it was nice to just think about him.
From the moment they met Shiro's life was full of color and brightness and he was truly happy, but now that he wasn't on earth with Adam, Shiro knew he was okay. As long as the color never left his life he knew Adam was waiting.
At first Adam wasn't up for the whole Kerberos mission, but he realized that Shiro needed this chance to do something big and had agreed saying he would be here waiting.
Atleast that's what he said...

The Paladins has just finished a mission and were taking a well deserved break.
Lance had retired to his room, as well as Pidge to her's to work on a new code. Hunk had made his way to the kitchen his mind running over new recipes. Keith was surprisingly relaxing in the lounge area almost asleep. And Shiro?
Shiro was up with the Stars talking as you do when you miss someone. He was laughing at a joke he had just made. He blinked his eyes for a split second, and when he opened them again he looked at the stars they were twinkling like they always did when he talked to Adam.
The castle shuddered and everything went dark. Shiro carefully stood and made his way to the bridge. He was the last one to arrive on the scene as it was Allura who caught him up to speed.
"There was a power surge. Coran should have it fixed in no time."
A few minutes later the lights flickered on and Coran appereaed back on the bridge.
Shiro was just about to return to his spot when something caught him off guard and he had to look back. Pidge's shirt...it was lighter.
Not like a brighter color but it was as if the color had escaped some how. The normally bright green Shirt was loosing the visible color.
Shiro looked to Keith's jacket the red was fading from view and taking place was a gray.
Hunk's orange headband faded to a light gray.
Lance's jacket was almost black.
One by one his eyes grew wider. He stumbled against the realization and sank to the floor his arms hung limply at his sides.
His friends approached him catiously. "Shiro?"
He didn't hear them he only watched as Allura and Coran faded to gray.
Then at once his world shattered.
He clenched his eyes shut and opening them again. Only to meet the gray world around him. His heart sank and he buried his face in his hands. His body shuddered with sobs.
No one said anything they only gathered around him and held onto him tightly.
His soulmate was gone and there was nothing he could do.
He was seeing black and white again, just as if it was the first time
An: I hope you like this and I hope I didn't make you cry too hard. :)
