(Here it is, a bit of a teaser for my story that will take place after the end of the show. Please enjoy and know that the first few chapters will take some time to come, possible a few weeks from now I will publish the first chapter but I have other stories to write)
The lands of Westeros have seen constant war for years, but now, peace has arrived.
The Seven Kingdoms and Iron Throne are no more. Bran Stark has been named king by a council of the most powerful lords in the realm. His grace has ended the succession of old, kings are no longer determined by blood, rather they are elected. However there are many who still cling to the old ways.
The North is independent. Queen Sansa Stark has claimed the Crown of Winter and was named Queen in the North. The North has suffered much during the constant wars against the crown and the Battle for the Dawn. Many Northern houses have been economically and militarily crippled, the North cannot sustain any wars in this state.
The Riverlands have suffered the most from the wars, the lands have burned for long enough that the region requires food imports to feed its people. Some Riverlanders felt insulted by the crown after Edmure Tully was forced away from making a claim to the throne, although these people are in the minority
The Vale lost a portion of its army in the Battle for the Dawn. The Vale still stands alongside the North even though the North is independent.
The Iron Islands and Dorne are insulted by the new king granting freedom to only one kingdom, when Dorne has sought independence for some time as have the Iron Islands, but along with this the Iron Islands only promised allegiance to the Mad Queen in return for independence.
The Westerlands are now a jumbled mess of lordships, all houses of the region oppose the rule of Bran Stark, but their new liege lord does not. Tyrion Lannister is now lord of the region, but has yet to return to Casterly Rock as he is the new Hand of the King
Lord Gendry Baratheon of the Stormlands has taken up residence in Storm's End. Many describe him as a near identical copy of Robert Baratheon, and some few across the kingdoms seek to press his claim to the throne, although Gendry would rather remain in Storm's End.
Lord Bronn of the House Blackwater is now lord of the Reach and Master of Coin, much to the chagrin of the lords of the Reach. Many lords in the region are extremely vocal about this distaste of the Lord Paramount, claiming that the Tarlys should be granted the lands.
Dragonstone lies unclaimed, the great fortress sits unoccupied, Targaryen banners still decorate its halls.
The remaining Dothraki from the forces of the Mad Queen now live in the northern portions of the Reach. They have united under the first Westerosi Khal, and have been warned against raiding nearby lands.
The Unsullied have sailed to the island of Naath, the few that remain in Westeros, numbering less than fifty, have settled in the ruins of King's Landing.
News comes from the East, in the ruins of old Valyria. It is said that a massive dragon has burned all stone men in the ancient city and taken up residence there. It has attacked eastern Volantis for some time now, clutching a rotting body in its left claw.
The Night's Watch have chosen not to rebuild the broken section of the Wall, instead a small hamlet has settled there known as Jonstown, named after the Lord Commander who traveled north with the wildlings and went missing weeks ago. He is presumed to be dead.
The wildlings have resettled Hardhome and a few surrounding regions. After weeks of searching the no longer barren land, there is evidence of life here. It is assumed that the Children of the Forest and the Giants are now extinct, but the search continues. Jon Snow has become part of a council of sorts in charge of actually leading the wildlings after he joined them and renounced his second oath to the Night's Watch. Jon Snow feels as if all he has done was for nothing, as if he was exiled on a whim, and although he never wanted the throne he can't help but feel betrayed.
The realm is on an unclear path. It is clear now that the end was truly not the actual end. And although there is no longer an Iron Throne, the Game of Thrones will continue
