It had been about a couple months since the fairytale creatures landed on shrek's swamp. Everyone stayed in touch, some moving to other places, and some, still had a strong friendship. And two friends always stayed in touch no matter how far apart they were. Lee had to go to far far away for a few months to do a job offer for cinderella. At that time Pinocchio was missing her terribly. Little did he know that those few months were up.
He awoke from his happy little italian style cottage as the sun shined into his room. Stumbling out of bed, he went downstairs and into the kitchen. His cat Figaro greeted him with a meow, which made Pinocchio smile and pet him in return.
"Good morning to you too Figgy"
Yes Pinocchio gave figaro the nick-name figgy because it sounded cute to him. He looked out his window towards the docs and watched the boats roll in. He then looked at his calendar and saw that those few months that Lee would be gone was up. He gasped in delight and cheered, doing his signature victory dance. Lee was coming back! What he didn't know was that lee was on one of those boats.
Well that spunky little elf rushed off the boat with her bag in hand, a wide grin on her face.
"Oh its good to be back!" she said as she made her way towards pino's house.
Pinocchio was making a good old-fashioned italian breakfast when he heard a knock at the door. He went and opened the door and much to his surprise, he did see lee standing there, a smile on her face. There was a moment of awkward silence, but then it was broken when they both screamed in happiness. He hugged her so tight and spun her in the air, causing both of them to laugh and be thankful that they were in each others life again. She landed in his arms and they both laughed a bit as he stroked her hair.
"God I missed you so much lee" he said as she cupped her head.
"I missed you so much more" she replied choking up a little bit.
He smiled tenderly and led her inside, eager to hear of her wonderful adventure.
