Disclaimer: I do not own RB in any sense.
Rated K.
A/N: Another Andy drabble, because I couldn't resist.
A very quick quickie, unfortunately; I just couldn't seem to make it any longer.
Got the idea when Traci told Andy that she should just pretend that nothing happened between her and Sam.
I hope you enjoy!

Andy McNally. Set after 'Big Nickel'.
You should take Traci's advice. You know you should.
And in the end, you probably will.
(You can only imagine how awful the long drive to and from Sudbury will be if you don't.)
You need to pretend that that night with Sam didn't happen. You need to push it from your mind, and treat it as if it didn't exist, because that's the only way you'll be able to sanely get through so much time stuck in a confined space with him. (If spending that much time with him and coming out of it sane is even a possibility.) It's your only viable option for survival today.
You know this.
Besides, you shouldn't even be thinking about it, period. You should be thinking about Luke and what you can do to make him understand that that night might as well have not happened, because nothing really did happen. (Even though things almost did, and you kind of wanted them to … but that's beside the point, because you came to your senses and stopped things before they went too far.)
You should be focused on fixing things with Luke, and pretending that that night didn't happen is in your best interests all around. Not only for Luke, but because things can't go further between the two of you now, because he's your training officer and that's a big no-no. Not that either of you even want things to go any farther, anyways … you just can't, regardless.
Anyways, pretending is what you most definitely should, and will do.
Even though – for some odd, unexplainable reason – you don't want to pretend. You really don't want to.
Well, it's not that unexplainable, really; because at the end of the day, the only reason is that you want him. Against your better judgment, of course; despite everything that's telling you that you shouldn't; despite the official rules and all the rules you've made for yourself … you want him.
But still you'll pretend, because it's what you should do; and because you think that maybe it's what he'd prefer that you do, as well.
Because there's no chance that, with everything that makes you a totally unviable option, he wants you back … right?

I'm going up to my trailer in a few hours, and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get posted from there. There's WiFi in the park, oddly enough, but I just don't know how much time I'll have to write. I'll most likely be tied up at the beach ;). I'll try to get out a few things, though; and I'll be back Monday.
Please review!
