Gabrielle had told Xena that she needed a break from life for a moment. So, they had decided to go to Aprodites Temple for two days and then continue on their way to the Amazons. It was about time for the Full Moon ritual and Gabrielle, being the queen, is needed for this Ritual.
Xena, while walking, had become used to Gabrielle's ranting about random things. Xena had learned to tune her out and so she was thinking about whether going to Aphrodite's Temple was a good idea for them. The last time they had saw Aprodite, Cupid, her son, had messed with Gabrielle, Joxer, Ares, and herself. It had turned out to be a giant mess. It had been rather funny though. Now, that she thought about it.
"Xena? Hello?" A worried voice cut through Xena's train-of-thought.
"Sorry. I was just thinking. Maybe we should go to Mom's house instead." Xena suggested the idea.
"Why? Aprodite is a good friend. You don't think she'll try to kill us do you? She's to friendly for that."
"No. Remember Cupid and the love arrows? I don't want to relive that memory." Xena chuckled at the thought of herself swooning over Ares.
She promised herself that if she were to marry Ares, it would only be because either she went crazy or he's captured Gabrielle again.
"Maybe your right...Maybe we should go to your Mom's house. But it's to far away."
"Ah. True. I hate it when your right. Perhaps we should camp. The sun well be going down in a few candlemarks."
"Okay. But, your getting the fish. I completly fail when it comes to fishing. I'll end up drowning and hitting my had on the bottom of the stream and then i'll drown. Then, what would become of you, oh mighty warrior?" Gabrielle had talked so fast Xena could hardly understand her. She only talked this fast when something was wrong.
`I'll question later` Xena thought to herself. For now all they had to worry about was who was going to be gutting the fish.
