Ivory Masks…
If you look at me then I'll smile,
Ask a question and I'll answer as a friend,
Refusing to show any sign of my pain,
I did once but I never will again…
If you look at me I'll smile,
I'll just cry when I get home,
To let the stubborn tears fall,
It's always easier when you're alone.
When I'm in front of you,
My face is an ivory mask,
Its only when I'm finally alone,
When this mask is allowed to crack…
I can't carry on the front,
It's hard to keep on a smile,
I just want it to crumble,
So maybe you'll hold me awhile.
It's hard to look you in the eye,
I'm being strong but it can't last,
Because as soon as you look at me,
The ivory mask crumbles and cracks…

Life sucks…expect for a few choice people. Life sucks.
