A little story I wrote when I probably should have been working on one of my stories that need to be updated, but sometimes I need a break! Hope you like it and I love hearing what you think! ~PSS
"Hmm, there is another hour or so until the season finale of crying breakfast friends. What to do. What to do." I think. The other gems are in the living room. Pearl is reading, Garnet is working a sudoku puzzle, and Amethyst looks bored out of her mind.
I walk downstairs and face the gems. "Do you guys want to play a game with me?" I ask, throwing my hands in the air. "Sure, why not?" Amethyst replies with a shrug. Garnet nods and Pearl asks, "What would you like to play, Steven? Oh I hope it's not that Kitchen Calamity game!" "No! Let's play uhh... umm... duck duck goose!" I exclaim. "Ok, I think I know where to get a goose." Amethyst says, walking to the door. "No. No. No. You don't need an actual goose!" I say with a giggle. "Let Steven explain the rules." Garnet says, resting her hand on Amethyst's shoulder.
"Thank you Garnet!" I say. "So, first we sit in a circle on the floor an-" "But the floor is so dirty, can't we sit on the couch?" Pearl interrupts. "No Pearl, that's not how it works." I say, clearly annoyed. "Everyone sits in a circle on the floor, then one person walks around the circle patting each person's head. If I say you're a duck, just sit there and if I say you're a goose, you have to chase me." (blah blah rules and all that)
The gems nod, then sit on the floor. Amethyst is sprawled out with her legs crossed in the middle of the circle, Pearl is sitting on her knees, and Garnet is sitting indian style. The first round, I pick Pearl and she doesn't tag me in time, so it's her turn. She picks me and she is too fast. It's my turn to choose. "Duck." I say, tapping Pearls hair. "Duck." I say, tapping Amethyst's hair. "GOOSE!" I yell, without touching Garnet's head. I run and sit in her spot. She obviously played it easy on me! She picks Amethyst, and runs out the door, the purple gem chasing her. "No! Guys, you're supposed to stay inside!" I shout. They turn and run back inside, each escaping to their rooms. "Well, that went well!" Pearl says, amused. I sigh and walk to my room, shaking my head.
