In a deck of tarot cards, Rosa would be represented by The Empress: the fruitful mother whose embrace can best be described as the Earthly Paradise. Ever since she first met her, Rydia has yearned for that embrace. Her desire to feel Rosa's magic flowing through her body has constantly been smothered by the older woman's maternal feelings for her. The white mage does not realize how much attention she draws to herself because she is always focused on her dear Cecil, another matter that pains the young summoner. Cecil is the Emperor to Rosa's Empress and Rydia is envious, wishing herself to be the Emperor without being overly masculine. She looks down at the cards on the table and turns over another card - the two of Cups, reversed: unrequited love. A bitter laugh escapes her lips and she turns her attention to ignoring the tears that are now burning trails down her cheeks.
