Fan Fic: CardCaptor Sakura
Mirror's Feelings
I am a Clow Card. I belong to the Card Mistress Sakura, Lady of the Clow Cards, Keeper of the Book of Clow. And although I am only a thing of magic, merely used to catch other Clow Cards, I have gained what humans call a "heart" and "emotions". How? With a single word.
Tori.
When Sakura broke the Seal of the Clow Book, she released me with the other Clow Cards into the town of Reedington. As Sakura caught the other cards, one by one, I was left alone, copying the other forms of humans to be unnoticed by the citizens of Reedington. When the Windy Card opened the channels of magic, I received information that a CardCaptor had been chosen by the Beast Guardian Keroberos, and that she would soon be coming after me next. Therefore, I did the one thing I was sure would discourage Sakura from finding me. I tried to kill the one thing she loved most: Tori.
I am the illusion, the twin. It was relatively easy for me to copy Sakura's form and find Tori. He was riding home on his bicycle, but he stopped when he saw me.
"Hey. Monster," he greeted, giving me a smile. He stopped beside me and put his hand on my head. "What are you doing coming home so late?" His face soured. "You haven't been with that Li brat, have you?"
I had no clue as to who Li was, but it didn't matter. "Tori, I lost something on the way home," I said in Sakura's voice. I raised my eyes to give him a pleading look and saw his dark eyes narrow. Maybe in suspicion? I didn't know, and I didn't care. Tori would die in Reedington Park. "I was at the park, and I lost a book I borrowed from a friend. Help me find it, please?"
He sighed. "Well, alright, since I'm here and everything. Let's go."
We went to the park, and I succeeded in making him fall off a cliff. I knelt down next to him, ready to tell him of my victory over his sister, the Cardcaptor, when he turned to me with those dark eyes and asked, "Now that you've done what you've wanted to do, can you stop using Sakura's form now? You're creeping me out."
"Huh? You know I'm not-"
"Yeah, I knew." Tori raised his head. "You're…lost, aren't you?"
"…Yeah, that's one way of putting it," I said softly. "Lost."
"We all get a little lost sometimes," Tori said, groaning as he tried to move. "It's our job to help each other find…the pathway back home again. But I-Sakura's-ugh."
He bowed his head. He was unconscious. I sat beside him with mixed feelings until I heard the unmistakable swish of the Fly Card's wings. Moments later, I was face-to-face with the CardCaptor, Kinomoto Sakura. With her was Keroberos, Guardian Beast of the seal, and a boy with amber eyes. I sensed Clow Reed's blood in his veins. I turned my face to Sakura.
She tried to attack me, but her efforts were in vain. I was a helix, a powerful card with a form easily hidden and hard to find. I should've been happy, seeing the CardCaptor unable to capture me, but then I saw Tori. Something deep in my chest hurt.
I didn't know it then, but I know it now. I had fallen in love with the CardCaptor's brother. I turned to sakura, willing her to find my form, so Tori could go home and rest. My freedom was a small price to pay for his life. Sakura found my true form and captured me.
Now, I am under possession of Sakura, the Card Mistress. I will always be loyal to her, and protect her from danger, for she is my master. But I will also watch over Tori, the one with whom I share an unspoken bond. I watch over him in silence, unable to speak, but my newly-found heart will tell him for me. My heart will tell him three simple words.
"I love you."
