A/N: LL THE FEELLLZZZZ OTL I am literally weeping after reading the raw of Retrace 79. But Gilbert, NICE JOB! You have successfully captured all our hearts with your pure heart of loyalty and growth. But, as for Jack, I am still loving him more after all that has happened. Somehow, I feel that the story shall go to an ending where it will be a bittersweet one, yet where all of them shall receive the happiness that they deserve. I shall make no predictions, but i have to say that i am ALL in for the ride to the finishing line that Jun has made us sit on. My heart is ready for what ever she is going to whack us with. Uncle Oscar, your presence have come at such a right time.

This story is written immediately after reading R79, so spoilers abound. But i hope you will enjoy a glimpse of the duo's heart for each other. :)

On a lighter note, Light and Dark will be on hiatus for the moment. Jun has made me hiatus to think more. *laugh* Til next time!

Rating: K+

Disclaimer: I don't own Pandora Hearts because if I did I will have known everything and cry in happiness and sadness. T_T

Just this Moment

A Pandora Hearts fan-fiction

"Stupid..."

"Stupid..."

"Idiot Gil…"

Gilbert looked at his young master... no, Oz as he walked forward to the crouching boy who repeated those same words over and over again. The older man knelt down in front of Oz, watching the boy.

The bodies of the Baskervilles that had found them and attacked, had been destroyed by Raven.

All that was left was emptiness, and so will be him and Oz, if they did not get moving, away from this place.

"Oz."

That beautiful simple name that passed his cracked lips lit up his entire being. Golden eyes looked at the young figure before him, bright and filled with such gentleness and warmth as he reached out his only hand to caress the boy's cheeks

After all that had happened… after all that had been revealed, THIS was the path he himself has chosen.

Not by someone else's manipulation, not by being bound by chains of decorum of the Baskervilles.

Just him.

Gilbert.

His soul no longer had any doubt. His left hand was gone, but his spirit was revived. All his senses were filled with the sight of this golden haired boy, alive and breathing, and ever shining in his eyes.

Thank god… that he was beside this boy…

Especially at a time like this.

"Oz."

He is the loyal servant… and best friend of Oz.

It does not matter, if Oz is B-rabbit, the doll or his body is that man's.

He swore in front of the grave, and his love for this young boy who had been in his mind since he fell into this era and haunted him during the boy's stay in the abyss, had made up a huge part of him now.

All these memories, this journey… Oz.

They were his beloved treasure.

He tilted Oz's head up to see simmering emerald eyes, tears threatening to fall on both sides of the boy's tender face.

"Gil… I… We…"

Gilbert gave a warm smile and placed his forehead on Oz's, silencing the younger with a soft "shh."

"We have to leave Oz. Before anymore of the Baskerville chase after us. Let's go."

All that was to be said had been said and felt. He knew… and the boy knew too.

There were far more important things to settle… of Jack… of Lacie, of the Baskerville, of Alice and the Will, this world… of them.

Oz's body shook under his voice and the boy let out a shaky breath, nodding slightly. The boy leaned his forehead against the older man's more, letting the warmth of his hand filled his broken soul just for a moment. A moment he held close to his soul.

"Idiot..."

And all Oz can hear at the moment is Gil's soft genuine laughter and their own heartbeats.
