The sword was above my head. I was ready to strike my father. Then...

I stopped.

I couldn't do it. Unable to hold it in any longer, I started sobbing, tossing my sword away.

"I can't do this... I-I can't..."

My father looked at me with wide eyes, seemingly oblivious to what was going on inside my head. Then he moved to pick up the sword.

"I can't kill you." I stated firmly. "You may be the worst guy ever, but you are still my father. And I won't kill my father even if it's the prophecy. I love you..."

I let more tears flow, collapsing to my knees, releasing everything.

I heard my father pick up the sword, then dropped it, pulling me close.

"Lloyd... No...what have I done...? I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..."

"Dad, I forgive you..." I whispered. "It isn't too late... I don't wanna lose you..."

We stayed for awhile, then suddenly, a green aura enveloped us both. When it faded, I gasped in shock.

"Father, you're...human again! Dad!" I sobbed at once, holding him tight again.

"Son, what happened?"

"I don't know, and I don't care. Everything's alright now."

I smiled. My father was here. I couldn't believe it.

"Oh, Lloyd, now we can finally be together... I love you too... It's alright... I'm here...please don't cry..."

My father gently ran a hand through my hair, tears of joy falling down both of our faces.

"I know...I'm so happy..."

"I'll take care of you from now on. Let's go free the others."

I nodded, the both of us pulling away.

"Alright."

And for once, everything was alright again.
