Fear and Hope
The dark room was eerily quiet, a spotless window was open in the far corner, letting a light breeze roll through, blowing the silky curtains into the room, only to fall back and be blown forward again, the motion seemed to be set on repeat, as if it was a never ending cycle.
In the middle of the room was a blonde boy, lying amongst pillows and blankets, legs curled to his chest, silently crying to himself, missing his lover, who had been missing for the past four days.
The blonde was of course very worried, and distressed and that was an understatement, he was a wreck. Sasuke had gone missing before, although that time he had ran away, and he hadn't even had a glimpse of him for a good three years.
Naruto was sure he wouldn't ever leave again, although this time, he wasn't so sure it was all right.
They had fought before Sasuke had left for his mission, and it had been a very ugly fight too.
Sasuke had been mad and had stormed out, and before they even got a chance to talk it through, Sasuke and been called on a mission, he had returned home when the blonde was asleep and retrieved the things he needed, before leaving with only a single note left behind.
'Dobe, I've been called on a mission, I'll be home tomorrow'
The blonde flipped the note over to see if there was anymore of the raven's writing, there was none, not a single word. There was no "i love you" or any reassuring "I'm Sorry" printed anywhere on the paper, there was only a day he'd be home, and mind you, this letter was written a good five days ago.
The blond clutched to the paper in his hand and let out a quiet sob; all he had now to reassure himself were good memories and hope.
A/N: i know, short right?i just couldn't bring myself to write anymore... it was going to be a sweet fluffy story, but i just couldn't write anymore... make up your own ending if you like... Review, my pretties!
