Quinn was driving down the road in her red Volkswagen Beetle towards the court house, now dressed in her pink bridesmaid dress. She sighed internally. She was still opposed to the wedding. Hell, if she could, she would find some way to smack some sense into Rachel. She hated the idea that Rachel Berry was marrying Finn Hudson of all people. Finn Hudson, for Christ sake! The boy who had dumped her in sophomore year because he wanted to find his inner rock star. The boy who outed Santana. The boy who would keep her away from her dreams and force her to stay in Lima, even though she was destined for greatness. Why couldn't Rachel see that this was all wrong? The only reason she had agreed to be a bridesmaid was because she wanted Rachel to be happy, and she was happy doing this. And if Rachel was happy, she was happy, even if it meant letting her go.
Quinn dismissed her train of thought, knowing it was dangerous waters to lurk in at the moment. On the radio, "Chapel of Love" came on which Quinn thought was a slap to the face. Ignoring the music, she checked her makeup quickly in the mirror while at a stop sign before carrying on. Up ahead, a tractor pulled onto the road. She groaned mentally at the slow moving vehicle. She had to get to the courthouse now! She tapped her steering wheel impatiently.
Goin' to the chapel
And we're gonna get ma-a-arried
Her phone on the passenger seat buzzed and she glanced at it quickly before turning back to the road. She could read the text when she got to the courthouse. The tractor continued to move slowly and Quinn found her impatience growing.
Today's the day we'll say "I do"
And we'll never be lonely anymore because we're
Her phone buzzed again. Looking quickly at the road to see if there was any change, she picked up the phone and checked her messages. They were both from Rachel. They said HURRY and WHERE ARE YOU? Checking the road again, Quinn started to reply to the message in an effort to soothe Rachel. She typed ON MY WAY quickly into the phone. She was so focused on the message that she didn't see the stop sign or the approaching truck. She was about to press send when the truck hit her and everything went black.
Quinn's bug flipped a few times before finally settling right side up. Her seat belt held her limp body up. Her dress was torn and the blood that was dripping down her face and from her other wounds dripped down on it. Glass was embedded in her skin from the windshield and her window. Her head rested on the steering wheel. The phone had slipped from her limp hand and was now on the floor, its screen cracked. Her message to Rachel was still on the screen. It had not been sent. In the background, the music still played as the radio died.
Gee, I really love you
And we're gonna get ma-a-arried
Goin' to the chapel of love
