The soul the thing that makes us human. Our morals or very lives have meaning due to this one thing. To give up your soul is to give up your ties to humanity to surrender everything you love to the true horror of the darkness. Although many have traded their soul for selfish endeavours they sign a rigged contract that their greed blinds them too but there was one soul so pure when the creatures of darkness had a chance to claim it they created a magic with the darkness from pieces of their own shattered and darkened souls. A magic that could grant the user the power of the darkness and all of its creatures along with immorality and power beyond the dreams of any normal man but such power has a catch and the price is to feed on a soul still attached to its original owner. It caused the one effected to have to drink the very life essence out of the humans and world around them along with a deep and unquenchable thirst for the blood of innocents. This curse would be first named by the roman church with a named rooted in Latin for devil so they named the first true vessel of the darkness, the Vampire and the first recorded vampire went by the name of Dracula the son of the devil.
